Project Kevlar Foundation

Project Kevlar Foundation A federally approved non-profit organization who stands against Veteran su***de. I house train and then honor veterans with these canines at no charge.

Every dog and every person — matter.

09/03/2026

We know we have been a little quiet on social media lately, especially when it comes to sharing dog-training content—but that does not mean the work has stopped.

Our dogs are trained, exercised, and fed every single day. There is simply no way for me to go about my day without incorporating training with each canine. Although I am not yet able to do this work full-time, I dedicate nearly every spare moment I have to preparing these dogs and strengthening our program.

So, what else has been happening behind the scenes?

I am currently participating in a John Maxwell leadership course, which I attend on Mondays. One of my greatest lessons so far has been learning to lean into patience as a leader and recognizing the importance of the pause. Leadership is not only about taking action—it is also about knowing when to listen, reflect, and respond with intention.

Yesterday, I traveled to Norman, Oklahoma, for the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Partners for Change Conference. I attended six different sessions focused on domestic violence, mental health, safety, and supporting the people who need us most.

I am continuing to develop myself as a leader—not only for Project Kevlar Foundation, but for every veteran and canine who enters our program. I want to lead them with knowledge, patience, integrity, and the very best of my ability.

The work may not always make it onto social media, but it is happening every single day. I am burning the candle at both ends to make this mission work, and I do not see myself stopping anytime soon.

We are still here. The dogs are still training. The mission is still moving forward. 🐾🇺🇸

🎉 Please Help Me Welcome Our New Treasurer and Fund Development Lead!

One of the greatest blessings in building Project Kevlar Foundation has been the incredible people who have chosen to stand beside our mission.

Today, I'm honored to introduce not only a dear friend, but also our newly appointed Treasurer and Fund Development Lead, Arneva Martin-Reames.

Arneva brings an exceptional blend of executive leadership, financial stewardship, and strategic vision to Project Kevlar Foundation. Throughout her distinguished career, she has led operations for both global technology enterprises and nonprofit organizations, consistently driving service excellence, organizational growth, sound governance, and financial success.

Her expertise spans operational strategy, financial management, risk mitigation, cross-functional leadership, and organizational development. She has a remarkable ability to align resources with mission-driven goals while building sustainable systems that allow organizations to thrive.

As our Treasurer and Fund Development Lead, Arneva will play a vital role in strengthening the Foundation's financial health, pursuing funding opportunities, and helping ensure that every dollar entrusted to Project Kevlar Foundation creates meaningful impact for the veterans we serve.

On a personal note, I couldn't be more excited to have one of my closest friends joining this mission. I have complete confidence in her integrity, leadership, and heart for service. I know she will help us build an organization that is transparent, sustainable, and worthy of the trust our veterans and community place in us.

Please join me in welcoming Arneva Martin-Reames to the Project Kevlar Foundation leadership team! 🇺🇸🐾

Sarge accompanied his potential pairing to his VSO meeting.

After their first overnight visit, we were also able to meet the veteran the next day to gain resources.

We do not just give the dog away to a veteran. We also assist a veteran in day-to-day life and help them navigate either the VA system or the healthcare system in general. We are here to help in all capacities!

While, I may not yet have the skills or knowledge to assist fully. I absolutely have the resources and will connect you to the people that are needed most!

Come join us!

Thank you Strategic Working Dogs Inc. for having us out this past weekend for a training session!

Some times it really is all about breaking it back down to basics to w**d out misbehaviors. We're still searching for knowledge and asking the questions!

We're just getting started!

Please Help Me Welcome Another Incredible Veteran Leader to Project Kevlar Foundation! 🐾

It is my absolute pleasure to introduce Amy Manning, who will be serving as one of our Veteran Liaisons for Project Kevlar Foundation.

Amy is the kind of person who has dedicated her life to serving others. Whether through military service, healthcare, her church, her family, or the veteran community, she has consistently answered the call to help wherever she is needed.

A proud United States Navy veteran, Amy served honorably from July 1998 through August 2006. During her military career, she earned numerous commendations, including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and two Navy "E" Ribbons. She achieved the rank of Electrician's Mate Second Class (EM2/E-5) and also served in special law enforcement, demonstrating exceptional leadership, professionalism, and dedication throughout her career.

Following her military service, Amy continued her commitment to serving others through a variety of careers, including healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Surgical Scrub Technician, as well as positions with Halliburton and Michelin. Each role reflects her strong work ethic and desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Amy's service extends far beyond her professional career. She faithfully serves her church, volunteers with the American Legion, where she currently serves as Second Vice of Green-Bryant Post 39 and as an Adjutant for the District, and generously gives her time to organizations that support veterans, her local community, and her children's school.
Above all, Amy is a devoted wife, loving mother of five, and a woman whose faith, compassion, and servant's heart guide everything she does.

As a Veteran Liaison for Project Kevlar Foundation, Amy will help connect with veterans, provide encouragement and mentorship, and ensure every veteran who enters our program feels welcomed, supported, and understood. Her lifelong commitment to service and genuine compassion for others make her an incredible addition to our leadership team.
Amy, thank you for continuing to serve long after your military career ended. We are truly honored to have you join the Project Kevlar Foundation family.

Please join me in giving Amy Manning a warm welcome! 🇺🇸🐾❤️
