As duck season comes to an end I’m more than ready to get some familiar faces back in training. We’ve had some good young dogs working hard this winter and have a good crew coming back this spring. I couldn’t be more excited about this year, although we’re going to be missing a dog that means the world to me.

After getting Lodi’s OFA’s done a couple months ago we found out that she has hip dysplasia. Best way I can put it, it’s about like losing a 5 star quarterback. She was an absolute BEAST of a dog. She showed me as a young trainer what an elite dog was cable of. Now, she will spend her days picking up plenty of ducks & geese. HRCH Lodi, a career cut short.

All that to say, I couldn’t be more excited about this year’s crew that’s coming through the ranks. there’s a couple that could be the next Lodi… we shall see! Hope everyone had a great season!
