☀️ Florida heat is here! ☀️

As temperatures climb, so does the risk of heat stroke in our pets — especially dogs. Even a short walk or a few minutes outside can become dangerous faster than many people realize.

🐾 Signs of heat stroke can include:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Weakness or collapse
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Bright red gums
• Confusion or difficulty walking

🚫 Never leave pets in a parked car — not even “just for a minute.”

✅ Tips to keep pets safe:
• Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
• Always provide fresh water and shade
• Avoid hot pavement (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws!)
• Limit outdoor activity on especially hot days

If you think your pet may be overheating, move them to a cool area, offer small amounts of water, and contact a veterinarian immediately. Heat stroke is a medical emergency.
