What a week with the temperatures cooling down. Who let the dogs out? Unfortunately, we do not have pictures of everybody who stayed with us this weekend. Due to being fully booked, we always don't have phones and have to focus on play groups than taking pictures of the groups. We hope you understand.
The Pet Resort & Spa LLC also is not affiliated with any other "Pet Resorts" or boarding facilitys in this area or anywhere else, there's only one The Pet Resort & Spa LLC located outside of fort dodge by Evanston.

The Pet Resort & Spa family wants to thank all of YOU!! All of our clients, you're the best, most of you have been with us since the day we opened. Our clients are genuinely amazing people and obviously dog parents. The "word of mouth" is so powerful. We have been so abundant with new clients and our family keeps expanding, and we just want to Thank you all for that. We will love your doggies as if they're our own. 🐾🐾

It was a bit warm this weekend 😝☺️. I just want to give a big shout for our girls (staff) for taking care of our precious guests. 🐾🐾 Keeping everybody cool, hydrated and happy. I wanna thank Steve Hoshaw Jamie Lambert Hoshaw family for the amazing sweet corn 🌽. The girls work so hard, I had to keep them fueled up. Yes it was after hours, when everyone was in bed and staff clocked out. 🍺 🍻 🍺.

We are aware of a Facebook post circulating regarding Oakley’s recent stay at The Pet Resort & Spa. While we understand how emotional pet care situations can be, we want to address several claims being made that are inaccurate and do not reflect the full situation.

Oakley has a known history of chewing at his leg when boarding due to stress, which was discussed with his owner during his stay. When staff noticed Oakley chewing and showing signs of stress, especially during a thunderstorm his owner was contacted. We continued to monitor him closely, ensured he was eating and drinking, and moved him to the lobby area so staff could keep a closer eye on him.

We have documentation, call records, staff statements, and video footage from Oakley’s stay. This includes footage showing that Oakley was not starved, neglected, or abused. He was provided food, water, care, and supervision throughout his stay.

At no point did our staff intentionally ignore Oakley’s condition or mistreat him. We also reject any claim that Oakley was abused or starved while in our care. Those claims are serious, damaging, and untrue.

We understand the owner is upset about Oakley’s hotspot worsening, and we do not dismiss how concerning that can be. However, hotspots can progress quickly, especially when a dog is anxious and continues to lick or chew the area. The veterinary information we are aware of indicates this was a hotspot related issue, not evidence of abuse or starvation.

We take the care of every pet seriously and have preserved all records related to Oakley’s stay. If any official agency contacts us, we will fully cooperate and provide the documentation and video footage we have available.

Because this situation may involve false public accusations and an unpaid boarding balance, we will not be arguing back and forth online. We ask the public to avoid making judgments based on one social media post without the full facts.

Our priority has always been, and will continue to be, the safety and care of the pets trusted to us.
