Classes for Wednesday evening and Thursday have been cancelled due to weather. Classes should resume on Friday as weather is supposed to warm up and melt this ice away.

Classes for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning are canceled. Wednesday evening classes will be determined on Wednesday.

Instructors please let your students know. Classes will extend one week to make up for this cancellation.

Message from our Training Directior, David Elliott: Due to the severe weather, classes will be canceled for Thursday February 3rd and Friday February 4th this week.

The Dallas AKC Meet The Breeds event is canceled.

From the American Kennel Club page:
Due to the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic and out of an abundance of caution for our exhibitors, participants, staff, and customers, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Dallas AKC Meet the Breeds® event that would have taken place August 21-22nd, 2021.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause however we are confident that it is the best interests of everyone to postpone this event to 2022.
We are very grateful to the Parent and local club volunteers who planned to attend with their dogs and those who spent time and energy planning to make this a wonderful and educational event.

Additionally, details about the remainder of the AKC Meet the Breeds tour are forthcoming.

Important Notice:

With the recent pronouncements by Dallas County and piggybacked by Duncanville, for the safety and future health of our members and guests, we are closing the club to ALL
EVENTS AND EVERYONE, effective immediately. The initial closing period is 2 weeks, but this will be reassessed closer to March 29.

We will communicate logistics to you later, as what to do about classes, refunds, etc.

For now, DTCDC will be sending a mass email through Eventbrite to alert all class and show-n-go attendees of our decision.

The word "unprecedented" is best descriptive of our current nation and world situation, so knowing what is best for all of us is very subjective. But even having one person get sick at our club is too many. And the risk of exposure is even worse, as that could affect many more people.

I hope each of you is doing what is best for you and your family.

Please share this information with others in case their emails get caught in junk mail.
