Today we walked two of our friends across the rainbow bridge. Most people knew and loved Pepper, but fewer got a chance to love Jack. He was a quiet boy that preferred to spend his time away from people (you and me both sweet Jackie boy). He chose his people and I, Aspen, was blessed to have him choose me as one of them. I got to enjoy his sweet pudgy nose kisses, see his eyes soften as I sang to him, and giggle at his epic side eye while checking out any strangers that came around. We will miss you Jack. Heaven needs someone to be a little suspicious and watchful. Love you Jackie boy. ❤️❤️

Today is a very hard day. It was time for Pepper to cross the rainbow bridge. At 30, almost 31 he has lived an amazing life. We will all miss him immensely; his looking through the window at us, teaching kids to ride, giving great loves. Run free boy.

I am Trigger.

I am a 41-year-old (yes, you read that right!!) Shetland Pony that has been at AGES for the past 16 years. I was used for breeding, until my owner could no longer care for me.

I've made lots of good friends here over the years, and I've outlived many of them. Some of you may remember Andrew. I really miss him. I also became the “eyes” of many blind and elderly horses that have been at AGES.

Kids love me because I'm so small, they can look right into my eyes, at least when my handsome forelock isn't covering them. But don't let my size fool you! I can hold my own and then some with any full-sized horse.

Due to the EHV-1 outbreak, Starting today 11-21, MJM Horse Rescue will not be taking in any surrenders, auction horses, or other rescues. We may take into consideration horses that have been alone or without outside contact for a minimum of 30days. This will continue until the outbreak has been contained, at least 30 days if not more. We will also be screening and/or restricting outside visitors. Please know, we do not have any sick affected horses and this is strictly precautionary. Thank you for understanding.

Navada has been adopted. She started with this wonderful lady at six months old and came back full circle and is now being adopted by her at 27 years old. It’s amazing.
