Clear Creek/Gilpin Co. Animal Shelter (Charlie's Place) Charlie's Place is a county-owned and managed animal shelter serving the residents of Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties.

We are open by appointment in the afternoons. Charlie's Place is a new, modern, county owned and managed animal shelter serving the residents of Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties. We are located in Dumont, just 40 minutes west of Denver on the I70 corridor. Spay/neuter vouchers are available for Clear Creek and Gilpin County residents. Courtesy Listing for Bruce, a dog in need. Bruce is a friendly 80-pound, 4 year-old male mixed-breed dog. His owner abandoned him and left him with someone who is unable to care for him.
