Dumas Animal Shelter Dog adoptions are $100, cat adoptions are $75. The price includes a discount to get them fixed. Adoption fees:

This fee includes a discount for sterilization and a microchip. This fee includes a discount for sterilization. To adopt from us, you must pre-pay for a rabies shot with a veterinarian and show us a receipt. The Texas Health and Safety Code under Title 10 and chapter 828 states that all dogs and cats adopted from an animal shelter must be sterilized within 30 days. Owner surrender fees:

ender fees are $50 per pet or $100 for a litter. This must be paid at the police department prior to taking the animals to the shelter. Reclaim fees:
There is a $20 impound fee and we charge $6 a day.
1 day is $26, 2 days is $32, and so on. You must bring proof that your pet is up-to-date on their rabies shot or pre-pay for one and show us the receipt. If there is no one at the shelter during business hours, please contact Moore County Dispatch at 806 935 2151. They will let an ACO know you're there

This is why our rescues ask for donations. This is why dogs tagged for rescues are not available for adoption after they are tagged.

Just FYI

Here is why we ALWAYS ask for help to vet a dog that is tagged for out of state rescue. This is an average of what it cost to get them vetted and most rescues out of state require all of these things to be done before they will take them.

These 2 pups are all available now for adoption. Dog adoption is 100$ plus a pre paid rabies vaccine. Cat adoptions are 75$ plus a pre paid rabies vaccine. All animals adopted from an animals are required by law to be altered within 30 days of adoption. ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES MICRO CHIP AND A FORM FOR DISCOUNT SPAY/ NEUTER WITH DR. TEETER.
