✅ Freedom to look around can reduce anxiety.

✅ Sets the groundwork for off leash heeling while being aware of their surroundings.

✅ Reduces physical strain from pulling or having to maintainingn eye contact.

For Appa to be able to resist going after the thrown treat he first had to master sit, stay. To do the same thing off leash outside he had to master self control and delayed gratification.
