Well here it is, tomorrow is the day many people have been waiting for! It appears that most of the area lakes will be ice free for tomorrow’s opener! I think a couple weeks ago I wouldn’t have bet on it! Just a note to everyone be safe, have your lifejackets and have a great time! I will be back in the office at 8 AM Monday to answer your calls and your your fishing stories!

Let the bragging begin! After a day and half of hunting in miserable conditions Jess connected on a monster buck this afternoon! The monster 11 pointer field dressed at 232 pounds (333 pounds live weight). This of course is her biggest buck to date! Thankfully she didn’t top my biggest buck or I wouldn’t be able to live it down! I hope everyone else had a safe and successful weekend! Can’t wait to hear your stories!

I hope everyone is ready for opening day! Jess and I spent the afternoon shoveling snow off of our stands! Just want to wish everyone good luck and please remember to hunt safe! Hopefully Monday morning we will be bragging about Jessica’s buck!

Fall has begun! Opening day of the 2017 Minnesota Bear Season! For all the lucky hunters who drew a license this year, good luck and be safe! For the rest of us, MN small game season & archery season opens in a couple short weeks! Where did summer go?
