The other night was the VFW Post 4639 Recognition Dinner. The attached certificate was presented to one of our great Veterans Moving Forward Service Dogs, "Zamp" in recognition of his devoted service to his veteran "Doc". As you can imagine, everyone is so proud of Zamp as he was recognized in front of the entire post for the work that he does every day in his veteran's support.
As "Doc" told me, "It is was heartwarming to see Zamp recognized and is a testament to all the hard work that Veterans Moving Forward does in preparation in all the training that Zamp received before he came a major part of my life, and is so rewarding to see how much others have noticed the difference Zamp has made to my life."
You can help us to continue our mission of providing these great service dogs to veterans dealing with mental and/or physical challenges at no cost to the veteran or their family by becoming a Monthly Donor today. Just visit our website at

SRC is proud to support Veterans Moving Forward, an organization that provides service dogs and canine therapy services to with physical and/or mental health challenges. Tonisha Broadnax and Justin Sheplock from our office recently went to present our donation and were lucky enough to get a tour and play with some dogs!
Veterans Moving Forward has many volunteer opportunities for those in the area. They accept monetary donations, have an Amazon Smile wish list (

We at VMF and our great Service Dogs for Veterans want everyone know the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline has launched a new, three-digit number: 988. Veterans can press 1 to reach the Veteran Crisis Line.
Write it down. Commit it to memory. And if you or someone you love is having suicidal thoughts or is in any other kind of emotional distress, call it. (Text if you don't feel like talking). You'll be connected to a trained crisis counselor who can talk with you and even connect you with a local mobile crisis team if you need it.
You're not alone.
If you haven’t heard about of Veterans Moving Forward, take a few minutes to check them out. They provide service dogs to veterans free of charge. It was fascinating to learn about the process. Did you know that it takes 2 years of training before a dog is ready to go to a veteran? The dogs live with foster families and go to the training facility on weekdays until they are ready. Please consider making a donation or volunteering with this wonderful group.
Today we got to visit the training center of Veterans Moving Forward and present them with $1000 raised at our Summer Solstice client event and matching donation. We toured the facility, learned more about their mission and met one of the trainers, Linnea. Veterans Moving Forward, Inc., is a 501c3 nonprofit whose HQ and Training Center located in Dulles, VA. They provide trained service dogs to veterans dealing with physical and/or mental health challenges at no cost to the veteran or their family. Thank you to everyone who attended our client event and donated to this great cause.
Many other veterans like those who have a VMF Service Dog need our help. Your donation and hopefully, continued monthly support, will ensure that we are able to support these veterans across the country as they gain a new "leash" on life.
For more information or to make that tax-deductible donation, please visit the Veterans Moving Forward website:

May we do all we can in our own way to celebrate and champion these true heroes, and to support those who continue serving in our country's military.

Yoga. Service dogs. Donuts. Supporting disabled veterans. What's not to love!!!
We are excited some of this year's Claude Moore Community Builders will once again be helping Veterans Moving Forward (VMF) train service dogs which will be provided to vets with challenges such as PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, mobility issues, and other visible and invisible scars of combat.
Thank you Veterans Moving Forward for everything you do for our veteran community and for giving our Builders the opportunity to help!
Good morning. Veteran Moving Forward (VMF) is our great nonprofit providing Service Dogs to veterans dealing with mental and/or physical challenges at no cost to the veteran or their family.
Would you please consider supporting our efforts at Veterans Moving Forward to have those who shop on Amazon to use Amazon's charitable side, Amazon Smile, and designate VMF as their "Charity of Choice"? The website is:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/chpf/homepage?orig=%2F
It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up and designate Veterans Moving Forward as the Charity of Choice. Then, when they and/or their business orders from Amazon, they just log onto their Amazon Smile account, and continue shopping just like Amazon. In fact, the page is the same.
What happens when you do this is that we, VMF, receive a percentage of each purchase as a donation from Amazon, not the purchaser!!! Great way to donate as it's "Free Money" for VMF!
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.
Service dogs are becoming more and more common as a treatment for PTSD.

A service dog can be absolutely life saving and life changing for a disabled veteran.
We were proud to attend their 3rd annual Drive for Dogs event, which raised funds to provide service dogs, facility dogs, and emotional support dogs to veterans with physical and/or mental health challenges at no cost to the veteran or their family.
Thanks for what you do, Veterans Moving Forward!
At Leesburg Lifestyle we believe a truly exceptional lifestyle involves giving back. So we’re grateful to the women who supported us last night in blessing Veterans Moving Forward for all they do to provide joy and companionship to the bravest among us. Collectively, they contributed nearly $2500 in goods and services for a raffle basket for Business Women of Loudoun's and the CEO Consulting Group LLC's summer social, simultaneously demonstrating that Loudoun’s women-owned businesses are a font of expertise, excellence and entertainment AND generosity.
What can we say of these women? They embody traditional values in non-traditional ways. Their character is noble. They select goods from afar and bring them to downtown Leesburg (The Global Local) – they are like merchant ships bringing her accessories from afar (Eyetopia, Inc. - The Eyewear Vault eyewear is handcrafted in Germany!)
They get up while it is still dark to attend the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce's Business and Breakfast. They work diligently to clean your house (House Cleaning Heroes) – AND those of the needy – and provides a livelihood for their maidservants. They consider the worth of a field and help the owner sell it, providing them an Extraordinary Transitions - Pamela & Dave Jones - Long & Foster Real Estate move to their new home. Out of their commitment to excellence they plant a vineyard and make wine worthy of the Governor’s Cup (Cana Vineyards and Winery of Middleburg).
Such a woman sets about her work vigorously; she works out at WB20 - Whole Body 20 so her arms are strong for her tasks. She teaches children and adults to skate and play hockey and have fun together in teams, and her lamp does not go out at night – no, in fact she tunes up the amps and provides music and dancing to delight us all at Ion International Training CenterIl’s upcoming Oktoberfest local beer festival and concert October 1st! Her skin shines like the sun (thanks to Diamond skin treatment from Niyan Medspa and healthy nutrition from Five Stones Healing Arts & Wellness Center). With the help of advisors like Colleen Stutz, Principal Owner of SonRise Strategies, LLC, her family is financially secure, lacks for nothing and is always able to give. She stands tall (Basics First Chiropractic), opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
She supplies aspiring merchants with knowledge to make them as successful as she (CEO Consulting Group LLC); She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. Her interior décor is charming and encourages gatherings (Jewel Marie Interiors - Decorating Den Interiors - Julie Shaheen). Her family can dine in style with a gift card from Tusky’s (Debbie Meighan). She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
We’re grateful too to all those generous women who bought raffle tickets, so allowing the thoughtfulness of these women to bring them praise at the city gate! (And to Solomon for providing us a roadmap...)
