We are a family owned and operated kennel just outside of Hico. We live on the property so someone is here with your babies 24/7.

We offer:
-indoor/outdoor runs for each dog 🐕

-daily, individual yard time 🎾

Meet Honey 🍯

Honey is a 2.5 year old, spayed, mix breed. We are currently boarding her for Pets Are Worth Saving - PAWS

Honey is a gentle, loving dog who just wants some cuddles and b***y scratches. She loves to crawl in your lap and show you her toys. While with us she has shown zero signs of dog aggression, but didn’t do well with her previous fosters dogs and has chased cats if they ran first.

Honey is in desperate need of a foster or adopter. She was pulled from the Weatherford animal shelter because she was at high risk and did not do well in a shelter environment. At our calmer kennel she has done wonderfully. She is the sweetest but will need a slow introduction to any current house dogs.

Dutch is our boarding dog of the week 🐕

Dutch has been boarding with us for almost three years now and has become apart of our family. She is a sweet, goofy, and well behaved Dutch Shepard. She makes friends with everyone and we always look forward to seeing her ❤️

Today we had the pleasure of grooming another shelter dog, Fozzie 🐾

Fozzie was recently found and brought to the Hico animal shelter as a stray. He was brought to us today for a much needed groom ✂️

The Hico animal shelter is also asking for help with donations towards their vet bill, as they have gotten many dogs and cats spayed and treated at The Veterinary Clinic at Hico.

We are also having a fundraiser at Amayla Kennels toward this bill! If you donate at least $15 or a physical items for the shelter you can enter to win $10 off of boarding, grooming, or a nail trim!

Hey everyone! We're in a huge need of help with our vet bill. We've been doing a ton of TNR for cats in town. And have had many dogs come through our doors we had to prep for adoption! Our bill at The Veterinary Clinic at Hico is quite high now and we hate that. Even if it's $5, anything helps! You can donate straight to the vet clinic, the link below or the attached venmo! We in the process of trapping more kitties currently, and have a house full of doggos again! We need that bill down. 😭🐾

Not all goodbyes are easy! Athena, Atlas, Jackson, and Odin stayed with us one last time before their family moves. They've been such a special part of our kennel family, and we're grateful for every tail wag, cuddle, and stay we've shared. Wishing them happiness and adventure in their new home! 🐾✨

-Elevated cot beds for each room 🛏️
-Kennels and waters cleaned daily 🧼
-Check out bath/nails/grooming available upon request (with additional charges) 🛁
-Yards for daily, individual play time 🎾
-A generator incase of power loss 💡
-Our staff is experienced with special needs dogs, elderly dogs, and aggressive dogs 🐶

Holidays we require a 3-night, nonrefundable deposit. This deposit will then be subtracted from your bill at pickup.

Disclaimer: we are not a rescue or a shelter and we are posting these on behalf of a staff member who is fostering these adorable kittens.

Daphne and Bush are currently being fostered by a staff member and they are ready for their homes!

Daphne is used to dogs, is super playful, and she loves to explore!

Bush was recently found at the Tarleton Campus. He was rescued from a bush (hence the name), but so far is doing good. He needs to put on some weight but he loves people.

Both kittens still need their shots, are intact, and are only now starting to wean. Bush may need to be kept on a high calorie diet and a milk replacer for a bit longer until he puts on more weight.
