Chef Sean, cooking up a new batch of fall compost. One batch ready, now mixing a half started batch, grass clippings, fresh manure and bedding from the goat and chicken pens, and about 200-300 gallons of water. Layer, water, mix, flip, and stir with tractor for the next 5 days and let rest. Check temps and log with compost thermometer and flip to oxygenate or add water as necessary to maintain 140-160 degrees until done😁

The return of the FAMILY farm is alive and well! We are very proud to have made friends with and Cody Heim, a young budding family we met, and watched grow, through our full time jobs in education. Cody and Jenna have raised not only an expanding herd of high quality Boer goats (meat goats), but we've been honored to watch them add not only their one year old daughter Meredith, but also in the works Baby Heim #2!!! We are so proud of this young family and continuing the family farm tradition!
Cody and Jenna have provided us with our first 6 goats to include: James (and his brother Bond R.I.P), Gizmo, Big Mama, Johnny Cash, Butter Scotch, and Scooter which will be a forever part of our farm for woodline and brush management as well as valuable all natural fertilizer producers. We also intend on raising, with advice and guidance from Cody, 6 meat goats per year for meat, hides, and bones that we can trust were raised and cared for with the best life and efficacy we can provide. Please help us celebrate our friends and partner, Cody, Jenna, Meredith, and baby Heim #2 on the way, of Heim Boers❤

Not only do you get a healthy, locally sourced and prepared meal, but you can also help support Justina and her amazing staff who are really stepping up to hold down the fort while Justina travels through a very difficult health path and hopefully a successful road to full recovery. Inspired by a desire for a family business that not only has sustainability as its mission, but gives back to the community, Sean and Korrin Schriver began the journey that is ReEvolution Farms. The model for ReEvolution Farms was sparked by The Market Gardener, a book which describes gardening methods employed by Jean-Martin Fortier. The guidelines for successful, small-scale farming outlined in this book inspired the dream that is ReEvolution farms. The farm will begin in the soil, but evolve to host hydroponic and aquaponic systems, housed in on-site greenhouses. Though the farm is currently in its infancy, dreams of a model for sustainable agriculture are always on the horizon.
