Those tiny whiskers on the backs of a cat’s front legs? They’re doing more than you think. 🤓🐈

They help cats feel what’s around them, especially in tight spaces or when stalking something low to the ground. So the next time you see a cat stalking, climbing, or doing a slow-motion pounce, know that there’s a whole system at work helping them move smoothly through the world. 😮🐈‍⬛

At just 6 weeks old, Dewey was found alone in the middle of the road and brought into our care. He was very wobbly on his feet, and his head was shaky. He was later diagnosed with cerebral hypoplasia, but that didn’t slow him down. ❤️

One of our staff members saw him and immediately knew he was meant to be hers. These days, aside from being deaf, mostly blind, and still wobbly, he is said to be the funniest cat ever! His owner says, “He is my favorite cat I’ve ever had. Never a dull moment with this silly wobbly boy, and I’m so glad he’s mine.” 🥰

She loves to explore, chase moving objects, and let loose with zoomies. After the fun, she’s just as happy to settle in close for some quiet time. She enjoys being near her people and will happily stick by your side on walks, runs, or bike rides. ⛰️

Mika is a friendly, affectionate Husky who loves staying close to her people and being part of the action.

She enjoys an active lifestyle and is always ready for outdoor adventures, followed by cozy time on the couch or bed when the day winds down. Snowy days are especially fun for her, and she’s known to happily make snow angels when given the chance.

Mika is great with kids of all ages and enjoys the company of other dogs. She thrives in an active home where she can share daily adventures and plenty of companionship.

She is housebroken, walks well on a leash, and already knows sit, stay, lay down, and shake.

Four years ago today, Ripley was adopted from the PAWS Shelter, and he’s been living his best life ever since! Since then, he’s had countless adventures with his family, tons of fetch, and lots of chasing water from the hose in the yard. Seeing pets like Ripley thrive is why we do what we do.
