We are so excited to welcome our new interns for the 2026-2027 year. Please welcome Dr. Alexandra Brinley and Dr. Janae Wiley!
Dr. Brinley (first photo) spent most of her life outside of Washington DC in the suburbs of Alexandria, VA. (No, she was not born there; her parents wouldn’t do that to her). She did her undergraduate degree at Virgina Tech where she majored in Animal and Poultry Sciences with an emphasis on horses! She got tired of the cold and wet, so she came to Texas A&M for veterinary school. She fell in love with Austin Equine after meeting the team at wet labs. And we couldn’t get rid of her! If you see her dying in the heat, she’s still adjusting. In her free time, she enjoys learning West Coast swing dancing and aerial yoga. During the holiday season, you will find her living in the kitchen making all sorts of tasty treats.
Dr. Janae Wiley (second photo) grew up in south central Ohio and spent her undergrad years in Michigan before earning her DVM from University of Missouri. Janae’s professional interests include equine surgery, emergency medicine, and sports medicine. Any free time tends to revolve around her two dogs, Indigo and Minnow. Indigo (an Aussie) loves doing agility, bikejoring and nosework. Minnow (a Dachshund) loves nosework and barn hunt especially. Other favorite activities include skiing, SCUBA diving, hiking, backpacking, travelling, and finding a good eat out place with friends. Janae is excited to explore more of what Austin and Texas has to offer during her time here!
Please give a warm welcome to these two, we are so lucky to have them!
