This Saturday we will be at it again!! We’re going to continue talking about leash skills. But we have a request to discuss teaching Dogs how to stay as well so we are going to conquer that bridge as well and I hope to see you there to join us.

Every dog deserves the privilege of knowing what is expected of them. The leash is one of those tools that can really make a positive impact on your relationship with your dog. It’s a puppy today but we are creating an adult dog. It’s our responsibility to show them how to navigate the world we have brought them into.

The stranger in public doesn’t care about your dog or the work you are putting in to train your dog. I typically allow people to greet my dog in public IF THEY ASK FIRST!
They only care about their needs and how it makes them feel to pet your dog.
So it’s ok to be assertive and tell them NOT to touch your dog without permission.
Not all dogs enjoy interacting with strangers. Some dogs are far to be enthusiastic about attention from strangers and are learning to properly greet a stranger.
No matter what it’s not their dog it’s yours. And it’s ok to say NO!
