Chicagoland Animal Rescue, NFP We are an all volunteer foster home rescue. We also provide information about the cat we have learned through foster and daily interaction by our volunteers.

We rescue homeless and unwanted cats. *Adoption hours are currently by appointment only.* We encourage you to visit our cats available for adoption & reach out through the website for more information. Our cats are examined by a veterinarian, FIV/FELV tested, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, parasite tested/treated, and administered any other procedures recommended by our veterinarian. A

dopters are provided a folder with medical records, a rabies certificate, copies of the adoption paperwork, and information to help introduce the cat to their home. An adoption photo is taken of the new family and we look forward to updates and pictures in their new home. Adopters are reminded that we are always the cat's safety net, and should any issues or questions arise, we should be contacted as soon as possible. Female | 10 yrs old | 10lbs.
Another one of our kitties patiently waiting for her forever home while she hangs out with her foster family is Lacey. Sweet Lacey was rescued after she was left all alone outside. She has adjusted well to her new space and just wants to be showered with love. She is patiently waiting for someone to sweep her off her paws!
Lacey loves to sit by the window, watching the birds and squirrels. She also LOVES to show off her tummy. Lacey would prefer a quiet home and needs to be a solo cat.

In honor of foster a shelter pet month (June), we asked some of our fosters to share who their favorite foster kitty has been so far!

Adriana's Favorites:
My journey into fostering kittens began in 2024 with 4 kittens placed in my care. They were rambunctious, frisky and delightfully high-maintenance! Among them were Amelia and Indi - named after Amelia Earhart and Indiana Jones due to their adventurous and inquisitive natures. They went on to be fostered and ultimately adopted by my friend Philene. Seeing how beautifully adjusted and loving these kittens have become around children warms my heart. It makes me realize how critical care, love and attention are during the first months of a pet's life and the vital role we play in our communities as volunteers and foster parents. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to contribute to this wonderful cause.

MEET EEFER'S BETTER HALF - MISS CUPCAKE
Female | 9 1/2 yrs old
Cupcake is as sweet as her name! Cupcake recently lost her home and now waits for her forever family. She's shown us that she is a friendly, curious, and playful little girl. Cupcake goes with the flow and wants to be everyone's friend.
The belly is not a trap, she loves gentle pets, brushing, and lots and lots of attention and affection. She will curl up with you in your lap, on your chest, or even on your laptop to make sure she gets all the love she deserves. She can be a picky eater, so we’re still trying lots of different things to see what her favorite might be!

Also goes by Eefer beefer, beefarooni, eef mcgeef, beefenstein, beef man, menace to society, food hound, butthead, tripping hazard, long boi....
Eefer is about 15lbs and 10 years old. Much like his namesake clarinet, Eefer is a chatty boy. He is very food motivated and likes to play and get brushies and be pet, but is independent enough to take a break and give you some space. Which is good, because when he leaves your hand, in swoops Cupcake!

MOMO BEING MOMO
At 9 years young and still waiting for his forever home.
Momo is known as the sweetest, most gentle boy around town, capturing the hearts of many.He LOVES to play, hunt, be silly, snuggle on a lap or two occasionally, and will never say no to a churu treat! He also loves a good ear scritch and will become quite chatty until he gets your attention.
Momo is front declawed which causes him a little bit of discomfort but with a few adjustments, Momo is sure to thrive in his new home. In honor of foster a shelter pet month (June), we asked some of our fosters to share who their favorite foster kitty has been so far!

First up, Terri:
If you don't tell my foster fails at home that are my soul, one of my favorite fosters is Sergio (now Reggie). He was wild and a ton of fun to be around. He had some trauma that made it so he had to be a solo cat in a house and he reminded me why fostering is so important. Giving him a soft place to land and being able to show him love he never got on the streets which lead to a forever home was thrilling. The rescue providing everything I needed to make him feel comfortable makes fostering easier. Daily I was tempted to keep him but knew that if I did, more cats would be given less chance for a forever home. I know he's loved but am happy to have given him as much love as possible when I had him.

Sweet Missy Bella is looking for the perfect family to live out her golden years.
She's been sitting patiently waiting, watching the seasons change, the birds fly by and enjoying Churu treats. But she longs to do it from the comfort of her own home.
“Miss Missy-Moo” adores morning lap sits, lounging on window sills, and watching cat videos on YouTube. She is big on her routine, and after breakfast she loves to play with her feather wand toy, paper bags, and boxes. She also does like to show off her belly and is great biscuit maker.
As long as you are ready for Missy Bella to be in charge of your home, you will have a great time. She would do best as a solo cat with someone who will shower her with attention, love and patience. She will be your best friend. For more info on Missy Bella: https://bit.ly/CARMissy
