Happy Saturday! 🐎❤️ Here are some pics of a dental done this morning. This 3 yr old filly had severe facial swelling, reluctant to eat, lots of heat and sensitivity in the mouth and right cheek. With the speculum on, I could feel that the 106 molar was mobile and see bleeding from the gum line. This was quite shocking, because in a horse so young, this shouldn’t be the case. I decided to extract this molar and once we started wiggling the stench of infection was incredible. This poor filly will feel so much better without this abscessed molar! 🦷

Check out the size of this lower wolf tooth! This filly has been hanging on the line a lot recently while jogging and racing, which also caused lower bar sores. After extracting this, removing some caps and filing, she will be much happier in the bridle 🦷🧚🏼‍♀️💕
