I think one of the coolest things about God is how He can redirect us without us even realizing it's happening.

I was upset. I was irritated. I was letting this comment take up way more space in my head than it deserved. And then, completely unintentionally, I saw something that reminded me to go to God instead of staying stuck in my own reaction.

So I went looking for Scripture to calm my heart, and these were the two verses I found:

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
- Proverbs 15:1

"... The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
1 Samuel 16:7

And I just thought... wow. How cool is it that God can use something so small to redirect our attention back to Him?

I could have kept replaying the comment and getting angrier. Instead, I ended up in the Bible.

And honestly, I think that's one of the most beautiful parts of having a relationship with God. Sometimes He meets you right in the middle of your mess and gently points you somewhere better. 💛

Episode 2 in the elephant toy series

Anyone else think that watching their brains make these connections in real time is freaking amazing??

She took the elephant’s trunk off completely, but then picked up the little plastic piece, grabbed her ball, and continued putting the ball through it like she already understood that this is the part where the ball goes 🥹

I am literally thinking about buying every upcoming mom-to-be I know this toy from Bright Starts

I treated my twins like two babies. Not one schedule.

I never felt good about waking one just because the other woke because they are 2 different people with 2 different sets of sleep needs.

If you're a fellow twin mom who doesn't want to do that either, it's ok to not take everyone else's advise to "keep them on the same schedule."

Today's activity: watching it rain. 🌧️

We got our first thunderstorm while the babies were old enough to actually notice it.

So we stood at the door and watched the rain for a while.

It's funny how something I've seen a million times can feel completely different when I'm watching them experience it for the first time. 💛

A lot of people hear the word “punishment” and immediately think it means anger, fear, or harm.

But consequences and boundaries are part of learning — for dogs AND for children.

The goal isn’t to make them afraid of us. The goal is to teach them what behaviors are acceptable, what isn’t, and how to make better choices.

Love and structure can exist together. In fact, they often need each other.

What are your thoughts on consequences and discipline?👇

Rian's impatience for not getting food quick enough is something she got from me 😂

The frustration when she almost gets it but it falls is felt.

I could literally watch her do this all day.

I know everyone thinks their kids are the smartest, but.....
