Marker words are your dog’s cheat codes

They are what tells them whether they are on the right track ✅ or the wrong track ❌.

Without marker words, your dog is left clueless as to what behaviors you like and what behaviors you do not like.

Without knowing what behaviors you like or don’t like, how could your dog know what behaviors to keep doing or stop doing?

Do you punish your dog after you say no?

If you just yell no but nothing happens after, you are actually using yourself as the punishment here which is giving you a negative association sometimes. 😟 Your dog is only listening because sometimes you get really mean.

Rather than using your tone to punish your dog (which sometimes doesn’t work anyway), use a negative consequence. 🐕⚡️

Following your “no” with a negative consequence will get your dog to stop doing the bad behavior and you won’t have to keep saying no all the time.

This is super easy and so fun!!

No pressure to participate. It takes minimal effort and worst case is you make a dog happy by sending them a toy💛 - what can be better than that?

Leaders guide you, have fun with you, provide you with structure and a safe place. They advocate for you.

Your dog needs play, food, affection, but they also need rules, boundaries, and consequences.

You CAN train your own dog 🐕‍🦺✨

I have spent 10 years working with all kinds of breeds, ages, and problems and I have found they all have 1 thing in common:

They ALL train up when you use training as a language. Our approach is that we not just train obedience commands but we actually get you and your dog to have training become a language between you both.

This gets you AND your dog on the same page

So that you don’t get frustrated and your dog isn’t confused. 🙌

So that you feel confident that your dog is going to listen to you no matter the distraction and your dog is still going to have the same unique personality that you love them for.

You will be able to have visitors over and have your dog be calm and polite.

You will be able to go for a walk and have your arm not kill you be the end and not be embarrassed by how your dog was acting. 🚶‍♂️🐕

English is taught📝

Just like you were taught English in school, your dog must be taught English too.

But the difference is in HOW we learn.

If you are having issues with your dog listening, or being out-of-control, you have likely been just saying words to your dog and expecting them to listen to them.

What you haven’t done is SHOW them what those words mean. 👀

Training gets to the root of your dog’s issues and gives you a way to communicate with them. So that you and your dog are actually on the same page.📖✨

A language must first be taught.

Does your dog lack communication or do they have anxiety?

You may already know the answer to this based off your dog’s body language.

But if you don’t, that’s ok. Because no one ever taught you dog body language.

If your dog is out-of-control at times, they either are suffering from anxiety, or your communication with them sucks and they have no idea what you want or that you are even trying to talk to them sometimes.

When you pair becoming your dog’s leader and using training as a language, you will unlock your dog’s ability to communicate with you. And you will be able to see if they are an anxious dog or if they just have zero clue you are even trying to talk to them.

And that is where all the magic happens✨
