It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Yankee’s wife, Joyce Fisher - better known as “Ma.”

Ma was truly one of a kind. After Yankee passed, she was the first person I went to when I was thinking about taking over the business and she told me no one else could do it.

Back in May, Ma received a scary and emotional cancer diagnosis that rocked our family’s world. But in true Ma fashion, she faced it head-on and fought like a warrior. At her request, we had the honor of cutting and shaving her hair in our shop. Ma gave it everything she had for nearly eight months, until her body grew tired and could no longer keep up the fight.

There’s comfort in knowing that Ma and Yankee are together again. And from now on, Yankee’s Taxidermy isn’t just about honoring Yankee - it’s about honoring Ma, too. We’ll carry both of them with us in everything we do and work every day to make them proud.

We miss you already, Ma.
