We can't reply to all comments as there were many shares and many comments. All of your thoughts are relevant and appreciated. We understand there are always extenuating circumstances. Thank you for your comments. It's all about awareness, because the animals need us to speak up for them!

This is Caroline. She moved overseas with all her animals.
She never wrote on Facebook "I'm giving up my cats and dogs because I'm moving"or I'm having a baby or I've had the animal a year, two years or more and now I suddenly don't have time for it or can't afford to feed it.
So, when you get an animal, remember that it’s a fragile creature, part of the family and must follow you everywhere you go, otherwise don’t get one!!

Thursday night, I was sitting in my garage smoking a cigarette. Horrible habit, I know. 4 young men rushed me, decided they wanted my car, beat me up, and wanted my keys. I told them the keys were in the house. They decided to go in. What they weren’t expecting were my 2 80lb Pit Bulls. They are sweethearts and the kindest dogs you’ll ever know, but protect their home and owner with finesse. My beautiful babies charged these as****es and stood over me as I laid on the floor of my garage, forever protecting me. They are rescues. Unwanted dogs. They saved my life. Please consider adopting a rescue. They might save your life too.

People have no idea what they are doing to pets by leaving them. Don't leave your pets. Be a responsible Pet owner or just don't have a pet……PERIOD

“I got my dog when I was just 19 years old and a single mother of 1.
I kept my dog.
I kept my dog even though I moved into an apartment and had to pay a $500 pet fee.
I kept my dog when my boyfriend and I broke up and he kept the apartment even though my new place didn't allow dogs.
I kept my dog when I ultimately had to move back in with my parents and she also was not allowed there.
I kept my dog when I had my second child. I kept my dog when his father put all of us through hell and none of us had anywhere to go.
I kept my dog when I had a penny to my name and we all ate nothing but buttered noodles for dinner.
Ten years later I STILL have my dog because she is the very start of the huge family that we now have.
Even though she's getting slow, eating less and turning grey I STILL HAVE MY DOG. I'm tired of hearing and reading about posts that say "getting rid of them because they don't like my new puppy" or "I want a new dog".
Commitment is commitment.”
