I am a paint mare. I was one of the five horses that were rescued from a breeding lot in Greene County. I arrived with my month old daughter, Envy and I have been a very big challenge for everyone at LOHR because of my horrible and sad past. I was horribly neglected so I never trusted humans. Since coming to Lucky Orphans though, I have learned that people are here to take care of me and that they

really aren’t so bad. I will even allow people to walk me around on a lead line! I finally feel healthy and at home now.

Your Community is our Community

The developments over the past few weeks related to the Coronavirus have been surprising and challenging for all of us.
Lucky Orphans thrives on strengthening and inspiring the community—and there's never been a more important time to do just that.

During this unprecedented time, in light of COVID-19, we are cancelling Pony Pals, Bowen at the Barn, and other large group events, however:

You can still volunteer.

You can still visit in small groups between 9 am and 3 pm for a walk on the farm and some fresh air.

You can still schedule one-on-one riding lessons with Lindsey

Thank you for your courageous, compassionate, and non-anxious presence during the coming weeks.
