When you love what you’re building, work doesn’t disappear, it becomes a purpose worth giving everything you’ve got. ~unknown

The Akhal-Teke is a horse like no other. It comes from Turkmenistan and is one of the oldest surviving horse breeds on Earth.

What makes it stand out is its coat. It has a metallic sheen that can shimmer like polished gold or bronze in the sun. The effect comes from the structure of the hair, not from any oil or grooming trick. That shimmer has earned it the nickname "golden horse."

These horses are also known for their endurance. They can travel long distances across deserts with very little water and food. They are loyal, intelligent, and full of spirit.

A horse that looks like a legend—and has the history to back it up. 🐴✨💛

She’s as pretty as a speckled pup.

I’m down to the final assembly, everything is ready to just put it together, I’ve been debating whether to tool a bit on the swell. I’m kinda torn… guess I’ll sleep on it

"Before you act, listen. Before you react, think. Before you spend, earn. Before you criticize, wait. Before you pray, forgive. Before you quit, try. " ~ Ernest Hemingway

Today, I trimmed the seat shape a bit, much happier with the look. I tooled a sepentine border around the edge of the seat leather then wet it down a touch then molded it to fit. Later this afternoon, got after it again, gluing it into its final resting place. Finally I trimmed the Cheyanne roll to be uniform in depth and ready for the cover. I tooled the wrap awhile back, so tomorrow I will put it in place and hand sew it in place. This saddle is basically complete, I have a little tooling to add to the swell, oil the seat, then install the flank billets and stirrup leathers, and saddle strings.
This saddle is for sale, if interested please feel free to contact me.
