Our 14yo kiddo had Pulmonary Function Test today. He was diagnosed with asthma when he was 2 years old, but with the Cerebral Palsy diagnosis they wanted to be sure that it is actually asthma and not affects of CP mimicking asthma. With the type of CP that he has, Bilateral Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy, deep inhalation and forceful exhalation can be difficult because muscles in the torso are affected. Results show it's definitely asthma, treatment will remain the same unless things worsen, then he'll start using a nebulizer.
