🚨 XENA NEEDS A NEW FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT! 🚨

Our big beautiful girl is looking for a new place to land. 🩷

Xena is approximately 2 years old, and we fully believe she is a Cane Corso/Neapolitan Mastiff mix — which means she is a whole lotta dog and a whole lotta love. 😂🐾

When Xena came to us, she weighed only 91 pounds. She’s now up to 109 pounds and looking SO much better, but this big girl still has at least another 20 pounds to gain before she’s where she should be.

And the best part? Xena is an EASY girl. 🙌

🐶 Good with dogs
🐱 Good with cats
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Good with people
❤️ Just an all-around GOOD GIRL

She needs someone comfortable with a giant-breed dog who can give her the space, love, structure and continued care she deserves.

We would LOVE to find her a foster-to-adopt home, but a foster who can give her a safe place to stay is just as important right now.

Joy’s Pet Haven provides basic supplies and veterinary care for our foster dogs.

These two adorable 1-year-old Dachshund brothers are searching for a forever family willing to open their hearts to both of them. They have been through everything together, and we are committed to keeping them together.

These sweet boys are:
🐶 Neutered
💉 Up to date on all vaccinations
🐱 Great with cats
🐕 Friendly with other dogs
👧 Wonderful with children

Both boys are visually impaired, and one is also hard of hearing/deaf. Don’t let that fool you—they navigate the world incredibly well with a little patience and routine. They are happy, loving pups who enjoy being close to their people and each other.

They are still working on their potty training, so they’ll need a patient family that understands accidents happen and is willing to continue helping them learn. A consistent routine and lots of encouragement will go a long way.

Special needs doesn’t mean less deserving—it simply means they’re looking for someone with an extra big heart. In return, you’ll gain two incredibly loyal companions who will fill your home with love, laughter, and endless cuddles.

It’s been two weeks since Target’s last weight check, when he tipped the scale at just over 50 pounds! ❤️

🚨 URGENT — IVY NEEDS US NOW 🚨

Our sweet Ivy has worked so incredibly hard to get to this point. 💔

When Ivy came to us, she wasn’t healthy enough or at a safe weight to be spayed. Her little body needed time. So we focused on helping her gain weight, get stronger, and prepare for the medical care she still needs — including the amputation of her back leg.

Now, just as she’s finally gaining the weight we’ve fought so hard for, we believe Ivy may be showing the beginning signs of pyometra, a dangerous uterine infection that can quickly become life-threatening in an unspayed female.

She needs to be seen ASAP.

On top of treating the suspected pyometra, Ivy still has her back leg amputation ahead of her. The veterinary expenses are going to add up quickly, and we desperately need our community’s help.

A HUGE thank you to Dothan Nurseries for hosting such a fun Bingo Day and helping support the dogs of Joy’s Pet Haven! 💜🐾

We had such a wonderful time, and Target especially enjoyed getting to meet SO many of his fans. 🥹 He soaked up every bit of the love and attention! And so did the rest of our fur fosters!

Rescue truly takes a community. We couldn’t continue saying “yes” to dogs in need without the businesses, families, donors, fosters, volunteers, and supporters who stand behind us. Whether the support is big or small, every single bit of it matters.

We are incredibly thankful to have a community that shows up for these animals time and time again. Thank you, Dothan Nurseries, for opening your doors to us, loving on our pups, and helping us continue what we do. 💜
