Today kicks off our 4th annual Nita Heeder Memorial Pet Food Drive! Nita was an important person to so many people, and especially so to Amanda’s friend Nikki, who was her niece, but they were close enough to have been sisters. In order to keep her love and memory alive we’ve been hosting this pet food drive in her honor since she was such a big animal lover! She also loved helping her community, which she did a lot through her job with both WoofFM and KMX. So this food drive is just perfect, being that it works to help the pets of our community.
In years past you all have helped us donate to multiple shelters, including WAG - Wiregrass Animal Group, Wiregrass Humane Society, TARP, SHARK, Kitty Kottage, Sammy’s Hope Rescue, and so many more! Helping so many cats and dogs, and we look forward to keeping that going this year! Especially since every local shelter and rescue is filled to capacity and in need of any help they can get.
We will be accepting donations of:
cat food dry and canned
cat treats
cat litter
cat toys
dog food dry and canned
dog treats
dog toys
blankets (new or used)
You can drop(or have them delivered!) donations off at our salon located at 105 S Cherokee Ave Suite 3 Mon-Fri 9-3 starting today June 8th until Friday June 19th. We are also accepting donations via Venmo, info located on the flyer.
