Training faster downs with Jimmy
Goal: A speedy down regardless of my movement.
Reward: Tug toy
We messed with rewarding to me - it didn’t flow right. We would both have to turn towards each other.
Throwing the toy felt good.
I gradually stopped slowing my walk.
Take aways: He anticipated getting released He would go to release when I’d move my hand out of my pocket.
I don’t want him releasing based on what I physically do. I want him releasing with my words - I use “get it” to communicate the toy will be thrown.
Next session we’ll work on that.
This is why I like to video my sessions.
Of course a lot of tug play happened between these reps.
