Everybody in relaxing under their fans to try to beat this heat! They are loving the extra attention. We definitely can’t wait until this heat wave breaks but until then we are happy to get to see everyone’s cute faces up close in the barn all day! It also gave us time to wash everyone’s fly gear so the ponies have clean clothes for tonight ❤️

🐴 Barn Help Wanted

Bluff City Acres is looking for a dependable, horse loving individual to help care for our small boarding barn in Dorchester, SC.

We’re seeking someone who:
• Is confident and experienced handling horses
• Can respond appropriately in emergency situations
• Is available to feed on weekends and possibly a couple of weekdays.
• Is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in caring for animals

Duties include:
🐎 Feeding 5 horses and 2 minis❤️
🧹 A few daily barn chores
💚 Helping ensure the horses receive excellent daily care

This is a quiet, well-maintained farm with a relaxed atmosphere. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with horses and wants to be part of a caring environment.

There is potential to trade for riding opportunities for the right individual.

Horse experience is required.

We love our visits from Dr. Powell! She specializes in nutrition, bodywork and PEMF. All the horses at our barn have an individualized feeding plan based on their body condition, weight and workload. It’s important to understand what is in your horses diet and understanding what supplements your horses actually need. These two lucky guys (Act and Kat) were having some therapeutic PEMF sessions. Busy day at Bluff city today! An all day visit from our horse nutritionist Debbie Powell from PECTS. She analyzed our hay, pastures, horses and feed, excellent service to keep our horses in excellent shape.

Also our human building was delivered today. It has a bathroom, shower, office, kitchen, and seating area for our staff and our borders. We have 3 spots remaining at Bluff city. Pm for details.
