Reinforcement training at Miami International Airport ✈️
Therapy K9 Ginger, proudly serving with the Doral Police Department, participated in a structured session focused on obedience, public exposure, and confidence in high-distraction environments.

K9 Dagger and K9 Copper, working under ACA CENTER, joined the session to support the training environment and help strengthen Ginger’s performance under real-world conditions.

These reinforcement days go beyond commands, they build emotional balance, sharpen focus, and give the dog a clear sense of purpose.
With every interaction, Ginger reminds us that a well-trained dog isn’t just obedient , it’s connected, calm, and confident in any setting.

We’re proud to announce that K9 Ginger has officially graduated and is now a certified Therapy Dog through our academy.

Ginger and her handler, , have done an outstanding job throughout the training process, reaching an excellent level of performance.

Proper dog socialization should be done in a controlled manner, allowing dogs to communicate naturally while maintaining respect and clear boundaries to prevent accidents and ensure a stable structure.
1. Self-control reinforcement / Teach your dog to sit and wait before approaching other dogs. Reward
2. Distance and progression / Start interactions at a safe distance and gradually move closer when your dog is relaxed.
3. Proper leash use / Keep the leash short but loose to prevent excessive excitement and jumping.

Important facts about the Basset Hound.

- Physical endurance. Despite their sturdy build, Basset Hounds have high stamina and can track scents for hours without tiring, thanks to their hunting origins.

- Exceptional sense of smell. Basset Hounds have one of the best noses, second only to Bloodhounds, making them excellent at tracking scents.

- Strong tracking instinct. They are driven to follow scents persistently, which can make them slow and easily distracted on walks.

- Calm and social temperament. Basset Hounds are friendly and good with kids and other pets but can be independent and stubborn during training
