✨19 year old ASPC registered mare. 42” tall and beautifully exotic head.✨

💸Lots of HOF ponies on her papers! 💸

Don’t let her age fool you! This mare still acts like she’s 6! Easy to get in foal but was open this year due to no fault of her own; the stallion she was in with turned out to be sterile. Good feet, never foundered and never needed to be dry lotted. She’s been in a pasture setting and stall setting and does fine with both. Very easy keeper! Leads, loads, stands tied, travels well, stands for the farrier. She was never shown herself but has produced foals that have gone to the show pen and one that was Congress reserve grand champion. She is a typical pony and is hard to catch unless you have a feed bucket. She has a current, negative coggins and a signed transfer in hand. Last few photos are of her foals.

Sunday morning, I came out to check on Ella, and at first I honestly thought she already had her baby. She looked like she had, but also looked like she was still in that early stage of labor. I searched the whole pasture and couldn’t find a foal anywhere, so I brought her up and stayed with her all night. She kept acting like she was still in labor. I finally went home to take a quick nap at about 1 pm, and when I came back at 3, I noticed a buzzard out in the pasture. I walked over to it, and that’s when I found Ella’s baby. Considering she acted like she was in labor all night I knew she had a retained placenta, so we loaded Ella up and took her to the vet, where they removed her placenta. It was one of the hardest days, but I’m so thankful she’s okay and that’s all that matters at the end of the day. We will try again next year!
