We are so proud of our employees! Amaya Thompson, Kelsey Nunnery, and Myah Hill spent 3 days in Macon at a training event for Dogs Playing for Life. This program is designed to get dogs out of kennels and into constructive play groups, to ease kennel decline while they wait to find their forever homes.

Our dogs were excited to be able to dog around with their buddies! This program will give them daily extended play time. So grateful for our 3 ladies and their willingness to learn skills to help our babies!

Courtesy Post. This dog was found on Three Notch Road in Donalsonville. Looks to be 5-6 months old, male. No collar. Do you recognize me? If so contact ARA. We do not have this dog.

One of our sweet foster kittens needed an emergency vet trip over the holiday weekend. The clinic initially suspected pneumonia but we are watching him carefully and hopefully it's just a nasty URI. Nevertheless, we were not prepared for a $542 bill for this little nugget. A couple of weeks ago we had 6 puppies come in from a bad situation. Not to be outdone, the kitties conspired apparently...we took in 3 pregnant mamas that were in sad places and gave them a quiet place to have their babies. Then we got 2 calls about a newborn left on the side of a road, and a litter whose mama and siblings were killed by a dog.

So we have a total of 17 kittens right now, oh my! Luckily the 3 mamas are doing an outstanding job, and we are loading them up with high calorie food.

If you would like to help with the babies, we will be needing KMR powder (to give mamas too), Kitten Chow, and kitten wet food. Thanks so much!

These three sweet siblings came to us as kittens, accompanied by their full black-coated mother. We used to joke that she ran out of ink while giving birth. Snowball and Callie are laid-back and enjoy lounging around all day, while Coco is our inquisitive and energetic boy. He loves to explore and play. We invite you to come meet them in person and fall in love!

We would like to extend a special thank you to Leslie Trawick for her generous donation of a Kuranda cat bed. With this donation, we were able to combine some of our existing beds to create a cozy "nest" for our kittens. These beds are easy to clean and sanitize, which is exactly what we needed.
