“Tuffy in Command,” a 2-year-old AQHR registered gelding, is the kind you don’t come across often. This gelding has all the right pieces to become something special, and we’d love to see him go to someone who will bring out his full potential. With just 11 rides, he’s already showing the same honest, willing attitude as his half-brother “Paintd Smoken Tonto.” Tuffy is a gentle, puppy-dog kind of horse—he’s never once offered to buck, kick, bite, or rear. Nothing about him has been rushed. Every step of his training has been done slow, correct, and in-house, and he proudly carries our brand—one of only three who do.

Tuffy rides naturally low-headed and stays soft in the face. He doesn’t overreact to new situations and has a cool, calm way about him that makes him a dream to be around. We truly believe a handy youth could take him and finish him out without a worry. He’s been confidently ridden through rough pasture, thick woods, and across any obstacle asked of him. He’ll go out alone or in a group without hesitation.

Tuffy is easy to catch, bathe, groom, saddle, load, and unload. He’s great for the farrier and gets along well in the herd. This gelding is clean—no blemishes, no scars, 100% sound. Though he’s out of outstanding registered stock, a paperwork error by the breeder means he’s AQHR registered, with DNA verified through UC Davis to his sire.

This is a quiet, kind, well-started gelding with all the makings of a versatile, dependable partner. He’s ready for someone to take and make into something great.

Figment is a 4-year-old gelding with all the things you could want in a young horse. This gelding means the world to us - he is one of three horses that carries our brand. He’s one hand broke with an incredible handle and a big stop that makes him a dream to ride. Whether you’re heading down the trail or into the arena, Figment will go wherever you point him and do it with style. He trail rides like a pro and will confidently go through anything you ask—brush, water, rough terrain—you name it. He’s also a fantastic performance prospect, already trotting a beautiful barrel pattern with tons of natural ability. Give him 30 days on the pattern and he’ll absolutely blow you away; we just aren’t in the barrel training business. Figment has also tracked the Smarty with plenty of enthusiasm and try. It’s been a little while since he’s seen it, thanks to a busted four-wheeler, but he showed a ton of promise last time he worked it.

If he looks familiar, that’s because Figment has been with us before. We owned him as a 2- and 3-year-old before rehoming him to a family in Oklahoma, where he has spent the past year teaching their kids to ride and their dad checked and sorted cattle on their ranch. Where he also had his tail chewed out by a calf, but it is growing back really fast! When they made the decision to move to Europe, we were quick to welcome him back home. Figment is a true goober in the best way—he’s full of personality, loves to play, and craves attention. He’s the ultimate in-your-pocket horse with a heart of gold and a goofy streak that will keep you laughing. He picks up all four feet easily and currently wears a full set of shoes, but does not require them (regular fronts and sliders on the back). He is 100% sound. He stands quietly for grooming, bathing, and saddling, and loads and unloads with no fuss. Figment is ready to go in any direction and will make someone a partner they’ll never forget.

Talk about a muddy 9th ride for AQHR 2023 “Tuffy N Command”. 🐖 He is turning out to be just like his brother, “Paintd Smoken Tonto”.

We’ve seen a lot of people sharing their experience with the American Quarter Horse Registry/American DNA Registry and we wanted to share ours.

We’ve registered three horses between the two organizations and have nothing but great things to say. All three of these horses are phenomenal and were sold to us as grade. For instance, Tuffy & Tonto - they’re both out of registered APHA/AQHA parents, but the breeder never sent in the proper paperwork. Despite the AQHA/APHA having nonsense rules over the paperwork, the ADNAR/AQHR was a saving grace and much easier to work with. On a personal level, we prefer ADNAR/AQHR over any other organizations because of their thorough, but easy registration process - horses are DNA typed through UC Davis and all information in provided. This means no papers being traded around, no lies about who the parents are, and no mistakes. We will choose them every time!

Introducing Dudley, a kind, quiet, and outstanding 2-year-old gelding with a heart of gold and a truly willing attitude. He’s been handled right from the beginning and is already proving himself as a dependable, versatile partner. Dudley rides out confidently on trails, handles traffic without issue, and has checked cattle. He knows the Playday events and has been lightly started on the Smarty and roping. He lopes soft, correct circles, neck reins, and takes everything you throw at him in stride.

This gelding is as gentle as they come—he’s 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐜𝐤, 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤, 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞. He’s easy to catch in the pasture, enjoys being groomed and bathed, saddles up quietly, and stands patiently for the farrier. Dudley loads and unloads without a fuss and is 𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝. He’s also been exposed to dragging logs, which he does calmly and willingly.

Dudley has a naturally sweet, in-your-pocket personality. He wants to be with you and do right by you. We’ve put a beginner child on him without worry, and he would suit a handy youth rider perfectly. He’s quiet, steady, and eager to please—just the kind of young horse you want in your barn for years to come.
