⚜️ DEAD BROKE TRAIL/COW HORSE DELUX ⚜️

“Nikki Sixx” 21 yo flea bitten gray QH gelding. Approximately 15.2hh. Husband horse friendly! Nikki Sixx has done and seen it all from hitting the trails to working cattle both in an open field and in a pen. Nikki Sixx will allow you to open gates, rope off of him, pull and push calves, crosses water, climbs stairs, etc. He is not high strung but will work when needed.

He is completely settled being a trail horse but can do a little bit of everything. He is the horse you can let stand in a pasture for week/months and hop right back on with no issues. I have sat many young kids on this horse while running cattle through the chute. He is a big babysitter. Has taught many lessons. He is UTD on vaccines but is due for coggins. Feet just trimmed. Has been wormed. Only minor issue is slight onset arthritis in back right leg but no cause for concern, vet stated same is due to age/work history.

Easy keeper, no special maintenance. He is barefoot. Stands for farrier/to be bathed, loads on open stock trailer or slant load and has been on both, ties well with no issues. Rides in regular full cheek snaffle or can be ridden in hackamore. Low on the totem pole in the pasture. This is the horse everyone wants but no one can find. Vet exams welcome at your own expense. Can deliver for fee.

⭐️SOLD⭐️

🌵 Meet Duke 🌵 7yo grade STOCKY bay Quarter Horse gelding. Duke is approximately 15.1hh (maybe a little taller as he has not been sticked). Recently, Duke has been put with me for 30 days of training however, Duke’s owner has decided to find something a little more suitable for his riding as he does civil war re-enactments. Duke is an excellent horse however he is still young and needs wet saddle pads.

He is very timid around new people due to his past with prior owners but is a big puppy dog once he knows you. A majority of his life he has worked in a feed lot. He needs someone that is calm and patient. Duke responds and works better with females. It takes a little more for a male to win his trust, but it is possible. This horse is all about TRUST. If you’re an impatient or timid person, this horse is not for you as he works off of your senses!!! Not for a beginner rider! Intermediate to experienced rider as he can be cinchy. Duke has never offered to buck/bite/rear with me however, males are different. We are still working on being ridden in cinch as he does not prefer it but he is coming along with it.

No rear/bite. When Duke came to us he was sensitive around his back end. Duke would kick out forcefully with you just standing beside his hip or if you asked him to pick up his rear feet. We have almost broke that habit by working repeatedly on picking up his back feet. Since being with us, we have worked on desensitizing, picking up feet, ground work, under saddle work.

This horse is very smart and knows his stuff. Duke is a gorgeous mover and is super easy to ride. His circles are tight and to die for! Frames his head wonderfully. Very light and easy in the mouth. Has some go to him! 100% sound. UTD on all vaccines, teeth float, coggins, and wormer. Bathes, loads/unloads like a champ, stands for farrier, lunges, and will stand tied until the cows come home! Low man on the totem pole. He has a hard solid hoof but is currently in front shoes but could go barefoot.

Duke could go in any direction as he has his foundation built and is ready to be finished to your way. Come check him out!

Located in Dobson, NC 27017 until 10/29/2022 which will be his last day with us. If he is not sold before that date, he will be returning with his owner who lives in Virginia and will have to be visited there.

Duke had his first ride with me today and man was he a good boy 🥰

Meet our gorgeous visitor with us for 30 days of training. Duke‘s owner contacted us about evaluating him for training purposes and we quickly came to the conclusion that desensitizing was going to be his best friend among a continuous, yet easy going work environment with under saddle work. He had a bad habit of not allowing you to pickup his back feet, and was hesitant with the front. Due to a lack of trust, Duke would kick out if you came near his rear end or even dared to touch it.

We have been working on picking up his feet and he has done amazing and we have minimal issues with him kicking just in a matter of 3 days! On top of this, I have been working with Duke on free lunging as well as commands and changing directions. Just look how quickly this smart boy has been catching on.

I can’t wait to see where 30 days takes this handsome, stout boy 🙂🙌🏻

🌵PASTURE BUDDY UP FOR CONSIDERATION🌵

Meet sweet Brandi! Brandi is a rescue I acquired along with 2 others. According to where I got her from, she was once a registered multi-champion AQHA halter horse back in her day. Brandi has been a pasture mate for one of our younger geldings. Brandi was neglected and abused prior to me purchasing her and has many scars on legs from same. She was very malnourished when I got her and has put on weight since. These are current photos of her!

She has been vetted, current negative coggins, teeth floated, hooves/shoes just done.

Brandi is estimated to be around 22 years old per my vet however, he could not say for sure as she is a cribber and wears a collar for the issue. She is around 15.2hh. Brandi is not the easiest to keep weight on due to her age and past so she requires grain and Alfalfa hay for extra calories YEAR ROUND. BRANDI IS NOT SUITABLE FOR RIDING DUE TO HER WEIGHT!!!!! She is fine for small children to sit on for a few minutes however she is not to be ridden. She is very easy going, low on the totem pole, loads on slant or straight, backs off trailer with no issues, bathes, stands for farrier. She currently has front shoes on to help with a massive crack she had on her front hoof when I got her.

*I have pictures of when I first received her upon request. Please note, I have brought her a long ways since then however she is not perfect!*

There will be a rehoming fee for Brandi to be in your pasture. I will be VERY picky on where she goes.

8 year old Jack mini donkey up for consideration. Woody has been pastured with cattle and horses. He has had regular trims with the horses. He will lead, load, tie with a little effort. Has never offered to bite or kick. Doesn’t prefer to eat out of your hand and still getting use to human interaction but in no way shape or form is aggressive towards handlers.

Selling as sound, fat, happy, and healthy!

Unk height, but he’s a little guy. Has been around chickens however we don’t currently have any goats/pigs/sheep so it is unknown how he is around those kinds of livestock.
