Chloe can sometimes be reactive around unfamiliar people in public, but not today 👏 She was calm, composed, and totally on her best behavior 🐾 She made it clear she only wanted love from me, and that’s perfectly okay.

We don’t owe anyone access to our dogs just because they’re cute. A dog doesn’t need to be pet by strangers to be considered “well-behaved.” If your dog can be neutral and respectful around people, that’s a win 💪

Advocate for your dog. If someone’s pushing to pet them and your dog isn’t comfortable, speak up. You wouldn’t let a stranger come up and hug your toddler, so don’t let them do it to your dog.

Ms. Millie Mae strutted through Tractor Supply like she owned the place 🐾 She knew no stranger and was on her absolute best behavior 💁‍♀️ Confident, social, and sweet as can be, this girl made sure everyone she met got a dose of her charm!

When Loki’s tuned in, he’s one of the most level-headed dogs around 🐾 But left to his own devices, that hound nose kicks in and he’s ready to follow it straight into some mischief 😅 We’re working on helping him stay more engaged and make better choices. He’s got it in him, no doubt!

“Place” isn’t just a command. It’s a tool that helps dogs learn how to relax, even when the world around them is busy 🐾🧘‍♂️

One of the biggest benefits of teaching “place” is that it gives dogs a clear, visual boundary. By defining a spot for them to settle, we’re giving them something concrete they can see and understand, making it easier for them to calm down and feel secure 🛏️💛
