🍂📚 THIS SATURDAY AT RIVER STREET MARKET! 📚🍂

📅 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2026
⏰ 9:00 AM–12:00 NOON
📍 River Street Market | 30 River Street, Petersburg, VA

Last weekend’s weather may have spoiled our plans, but both of these special events are happening THIS SATURDAY!

🖤 A LITTLE POE IN PETERSBURG!

Did you know Edgar Allan Poe and his wife, Virginia, spent part of their honeymoon in Petersburg in 1836, just a few blocks from today’s River Street Market?

Join us for Poe trivia and performances of two of his most beloved poems, The Raven and Annabel Lee. A little literary mystery and macabre fun seems just right for October!

📖 CELEBRATING ONE OF OUR OWN!

We’re thrilled to welcome local author Esther Jade and celebrate the publication of her book, Egyptian Escapade!

Esther is a familiar face and regular customer at River Street Market, which makes it especially exciting to cheer her on. Stop by, meet her, and pick up a signed copy!

🌱🍄 And of course, Fresh Roots will be there with our freshly harvested microgreens and locally grown gourmet mushrooms!

Good books, great neighbors, fresh food, and a little Poe. Sounds like a pretty perfect Saturday in Old Towne Petersburg! ❤️
