A few more of the shoot we did with Daisy earlier this week.

Please note that during sessions, dogs are leashed.
In most cases the leash can easily be removed in photoshop when positioned in a certain way.
The safety of your dog is most important to us.

Golden Light is often seen as a gift of grace and reassurance. It is an embrace from the Universe, an expression of divine comfort and a sign of hope.

It is not often that everything aligns so well when taking photos.
And being able to take this one felt as a gift.

Cardi is an amazing little podenco Andaluz, rescued by Fundación Benjamín Mehnert and now living with Ann in Massachusetts where I got to photograph her this fall.

On our way back home from a shoot today, we stopped at in Carlisle, a local farm that has a small shop with some amazing icecream of which I bought a tub for the holidays. (If it is going to make it that far ;) )
Aqua is one of their dogs and if not at work, always up for a belly rub.

When I saw the backlight I had to snap this picture.

She asked: " How do you do it? " And she went on to say that she was right there and never saw it....

And that is why its worth hiring a professional pet photographer.

The most common remark on my photos is usually related to the dog seemingly being off leash and the dangers that come with that.
As a sighthound owner myself I am very aware of those dangers.
So, safety first, photoshop later 📸

Q: Why do pet photographers love Fall so much?
A: Besides the wonderful colors that compliment your dogs fur and make for beautiful art on your wall you mean?
We also love it because your dog loves fall, the smells, the crispiness in the air, the smells, the leaves to play in. Your dog loves fall too and that joy will show in their portraits.

Every photoshoot has its story.
Violets owner asked for some photos of her to have some lasting, wonderful memories for her family of this sweet 15 year old girl who shared so many life events with them.
We incorporated the flower collar Violet wore when she was a flower girl at their wedding and the toys Violet loves that most.

Violet was photographed in her own backyard where she felt most comfortable.

Q & A
Q: My dog doesn't sit on command, is this a problem? 🐕
A: Not at all, as someone working with sighthounds, I am used to this. Besides, we want to show off those beautiful long legs.

There are many ways to 'pose' a dog without having it to go into a sit.🐶
And with seniors, we just go with any pose they feel comfortable in.
