Metallicash had a fantastic week in Big Piney, WY at the Cowboy State Classic. This was his first time showing straight in the bridle, and he ended up All Around Champion in the Open AQHA VRH! 🏆

Placing first in the VRH Ranch Riding, Reining, Trail, and second in Cow Work.

He also placed second in the NRCHA Level 1 Open Bridle class!

“River” is one of the most willing horses we’ve ever started. She is always ready to go to work, and game for whatever you ask of her. She has a big motor and a ground covering stride, but never offers any funny business, and is always the same horse even after time off. River could truly excel in any direction you’d like to take her.

River has a great start and is ready to finish out your way. She has about 6 months of cowhorse training and knows all the reining maneuvers, a beautiful flying lead change and a great cow sense. The last 2 months she has started roping out of the box and is showing a lot of potential as a head horse. She has also been used in the branding pen, and is always our first choice to go gather our mountain pastures.

River has been hauled to a variety of different show settings and always keeps a level head. Her first show was the NILE Gold Buckle Futurity, where she ended up Reserve Champion in the 2 year old Futurity and Champion in the 2 year old Trail Futurity out of 18 horses, taking home a check for $1016.81. Her 3 year old year she showed in the Junior Ranch Riding at the Arizona Sun Circuit, as well as a few local Ranch Versatility shows.

One Ichi Time “Fred” is still looking for his perfect home! Fred is a beautiful and flashy mover that is sure to get you noticed in the show pen. He has been shown in local Versatility Ranch Horse shows for the past 2 years. He is quiet and level headed when he travels, and not spooky in a new arena.

Fred is also showing a lot of potential as a heel or breakaway horse. He has been lightly started roping the dummy as well as live steers. He stays calm in the box, leaves flat and is a natural at rating with a big stop.

Fred has lots of outside miles, and has been used in every aspect of ranch work, including gathering pastures, branding, and sorting.

Fred is typically more whoa than go, and would be perfect for an intermediate rider looking for their next prospect to show, rope or ranch on. He is a personable horse that enjoys attention, is easy to haul, great for the farrier, and gets along with other horses.

Today was such an exciting day! Our oldest c**t by Vaquero, 2 year old Very Smart Diamond aka Pancho had his first ride! He was a total gentleman and really showed off the good mind that Vaquero passes on. This was also the first time our intern Eva has started a c**t and she did such a great job!!
