**BILLY JEAN**
Trail horse, endurance prospect, handy kid horse. Great in the arena, getting better on the trail everyday!
Billy Jean is a beautiful 8 year old Tennessee Walker mare. This buckskin mare stands 15 hands tall and her registration is pending.
Billy Jean loves to travel and adores kids, but is best suited for an intermediate rider because she is very forward and sensitive to leg and hand aids.
Billy Jean is soft in the bridle, stands for a mounting block, stands tied, good for the farrier and good to trailer. She crosses water and bridges. She is interested and excited about cows too.
I have put over 5 months of training on Billy Jean for my client (who raised her). Billy Jean is very sweet and kind. She has been in the hills and the arena, ridden with flags and tarps, and ponied colts. She has also been ridden in town and not bothered by passing cars.
Billy Jean has foundered in the past, and will need to remain on a dry lot. She had xrays last fall which showed a slight rotation and slight sinkage in her right front. We have since had shoes and pads on her and she has remained sound. She does well on a grass/alfalfa hay diet with added mineral.
Billy Jean has made tremendous improvements on her barn sourness and has become more consistent about walking home.
Billy Jean is a versatile and flashy mare. I have had my young student (of 11 years) ride her, and they got along great. She is best suited an handy and confident kid or an adult intermediate rider who enjoys a little challenge and wants to learn and grow in their horsemanship.
