Lulu came in from an area with several cats. She is a big sweety who enjoys other cats company as well as people. Lulu is estimated to be 1-3 years old and is now spayed. She would love a home with lots of people.

A huge thank you to the 4th grade students at Charlotte Elementary School for spending time socializing our animals, creating great kennel cards for our shelter pets, and for their incredible donation of 1,166 pounds of dog and cat food!

Our animals loved the extra attention, and the kennel cards they made helped showcase each pet’s personality while making their kennels brighter and more welcoming. Their kindness and hard work truly made a difference for the animals in our care.

We are so grateful for the continued support from our community and for students who are already making such a big impact for homeless animals. Thank you all so much! 🐾

Meet Lloyd!

If kisses and wiggles are your thing, look no further than our boy Lloyd. Lloyd is a handsome white and black pitbull terrier mix, weighing in just over 60lbs, with an estimated birthday of 03/01/2023. He came to us in rough shape, he had severe infected hotspots covering his face and body, but he bounced back quick as can be. Lloyd quickly charmed our staff and became a hot topic around the shelter, with his bubbly, outgoing smile and his happy-go-lucky attitude. Lloyd has a good handle on his basic manners, he walks well on a leash and knows some commands such as "sit". He enjoys the company of other dogs, but of course we always require a meet and greet if you already have any in the home. He does great with kids, too, but is suited to a home without cats.

At 2 ½ years old, Lumere is what we like to call a “31 flavors mix,” meaning he’s the perfect blend of everything lovable. This handsome boy is super sweet, calm, and easygoing, making him a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a laid back best friend.
Lumere does great with dogs, cats, and kids, and he absolutely loves being around people. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so he’s more than ready to head home with his forever family.
Lumere is also partially deaf, but don’t let that fool you — he doesn’t let it slow him down one bit! He’s still full of love, personality, and charm, and he’s looking for someone who will love him just the way he is.

This little girl was found on the Dickson/McEwen line and accepted via Animal Control.

She was not wearing a collar and is not microchipped.

Do you recognize her? Call us at 615-446-7387 must be able to provide proof of ownership to claim and she must be current on rabies vaccination prior to release.

She has a 3 day stray hold ending on 5-16-2026 at close of business.

Meet Leilani!

This beautiful flower is hoping for a place to bloom. Leilani is a stunnig 31 flavors mixed breed with an estimated birthday of 02/01/2023, weighing in around 45lbs. Miss Leilei was rescued from dire circumstances, her and two other young pups were living in a tiny pen with hardly room to stand, and access to food and water was far and few between.Thankfully, Leilani and her family were rescued by our local Animal Control Officer and we quickly started her on the road to recovery. Although Leilei was in rough shape when we met, she bounced back quicker than we ever expected and has shown us what a beautiful and sweet girl she is inside. Leilani is a social butterfly who loves to make all kinds of friends day and night, and will always be ready to crawl into your lap for snuggles and kisses. Although she doesn't mind the company of other dogs, she is just as happy being the star of her own show and having all the love for herself. Leilei is already learning great manners. She walks well on a leash, knows "sit", and even crates like a pro!
