Back in March of 2023, Stay Golden had the privilege of fostering this handsome guy, Kane, while he waited for his forever home.
Not long after, one of our amazing daycare families fell in love with him, and through a family member, Kane found exactly where he was meant to be. 🏡🐶

From dreaming big to turning those dreams into reality, Jessica has poured so much love, hard work, and probably more than a few sleepless nights into making Stay Golden what it is today. 🏕️🐶

💛🐾 Feeling Extra Spoiled at Stay Golden! 🐾💛

We just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to two incredibly thoughtful people who made our week a little brighter!

🍪 A huge thank you to Sarah from Sarah's Southern Kitchen for bringing homemade treats for both our daycare pups and our staff! Everything was absolutely delicious, and both the humans and dogs felt so loved.

🦴 And another big thank you to Cookie's mom for surprising our daycare crew with special treats for the pups! They were definitely a hit, and our campers were thrilled with the extra goodies.

We are so thankful to have such kind, generous people as part of the Stay Golden family. It's gestures like these that remind us how lucky we are to have such an amazing community. 💛

Dog Groomer needed @ Stay Golden Dog Camp & Retreat — Dickson, TN

Stay Golden Dog Camp & Retreat is growing, and we’re excited to add grooming services to our daycare and boarding experience as we move into our new resort-style facility.

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate Dog Groomer who wants to be part of building something special — a calm, low-stress, enrichment-focused environment where dogs feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like family.

Stay Golden is not a high-volume corporate salon. Our atmosphere is relaxed, camp-inspired, and relationship-focused. We believe grooming should be a positive experience for both dogs and their owners. Many of our grooming clients will already know and trust us through daycare and boarding, giving you the opportunity to build long-term relationships with both pets and their families.

This position is ideal for a groomer who values quality care, enjoys working in a team environment, and wants to grow alongside an expanding pet care business.

What You’ll Do

Perform professional grooming services including:
Bathing
Haircuts and breed-specific trims
Brushing and de-shedding
Nail trimming/grinding
Ear cleaning and sanitary trims
Use gentle, low-stress handling techniques with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
Help create a calm and positive grooming experience that supports overall canine wellness
Assess coat and skin condition and communicate any concerns appropriately
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming space
Communicate clearly with pet parents regarding grooming requests and aftercare recommendations
Work closely with our daycare and boarding team to coordinate grooming services for camp and overnight guests
Contribute to the welcoming, laid-back culture that makes Stay Golden unique
What We’re Looking For

Professional dog grooming experience preferred
Ability to complete full grooms independently
Strong understanding of dog behavior and safe handling practices
Patience and confidence working with nervous or anxious dogs
Friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Reliability and strong attention to detail
Passion for animal care and creating positive experiences
