Badlands Dutch Bunnies & Silver Fox Pedigreed Black Dutch & Silver Fox Rabbitry located in Western North Dakota. ARBA registered. My name is Emerald, I am from Montana but moved to ND in 2013.

We started rabbits after our first mix farm store bun had kits, raised them up and then decided it would be a fun hobby for my son & I. So upon researching breeds in our state and area, I fell in love with the Dutch. We drove 3hrs for our first doe and I picked up my first sweet buck on my way home from Montana. Ours have done well for 4H youths & some are family pets. It was when my family & I we

re down in Colorado on vacation that I decided on Silver Foxes, never had I seen one in person. But I knew I wanted a second breed & decided that a rare heritage breed would be challenging. Boy has it been a challenge! But I absolutely adore both breeds & are hoping to eventually feed our family & dogs consistently.

Badland's 'DQ' CCD1 was on my cull list... I ended up keeping her longer than expected. Bottom cage did her well and I ended up breeding her to Badland's Peter.

This 2wk old litter is adorable! Despite their mother being a DQ with a huge patch of color bleeding into her white on her saddle. These babies are looking beautiful. Sometimes you get lucky and your mismarked dq rabbits birth better offspring!

Worked on fixing up the brood hutches tonight, removed the legs and placed them on stands.

Badland's Artemis is moved into the brood hutch, currently building her nest.
Her daughter Lilth was also placed into a brood hutch next door.

I am thrilled to announce RIS for Badland's Ruhn [BD14] with Susan Londe of WY at today's Black Hills Rabbit Club.

He was also an honorable mention from Teri Peterson of CO.

At Convention 25', Ruhn placed 2nd among 29 bucks.

Earning Reserve in Show today with my silver fox against all Best in Show winners was a great achievement!

Through persistent work, I have introduced silver fox to our area, working with transporters & exceptional breeders to acquire quality stock.
A huge thanks to the friends I've made in the NSFRC that bred my does to their best bucks.

Badland's Peter took best of breed for the first show, kiddo was pretty happy.
