🐾✂️ At TopDog Grooming S’Paw, we are always honored when entrusted with show-quality grooms. Today, we had the privilege of doing a show groom on a Portuguese Water Dog — the first of this breed we’ve had the pleasure to work with.

Every dog is unique, and we take pride in tailoring each groom to highlight their beauty, structure, and breed standard. Grateful for the opportunity and excited to continue expanding our show grooming experience. 💙🐩

🇺🇸🐾 4th of July Pet Safety Tips from TopDog Grooming S'Paw 🐾🇺🇸

With next Friday being the 4th of July, we want to remind all our pet parents to keep their fur babies safe and secure during the festivities! Fireworks may be fun for us, but they can be scary and overwhelming for our pets.

🔹 Keep pets indoors during fireworks – even the calmest dogs can bolt when frightened
🔹 Create a safe space – turn on calming music or the TV to help mask loud noises
🔹 Double check fences and gates are secure if your pet must go outside
🔹 ID tags and collars should be on and up to date
🔹 Make sure microchips are registered and current – it's your pet's best chance if they get lost

Big News from the S’Paw!

This past weekend, I competed in my first ever grooming competition—and what an experience it was! With 32 amazing entries. I was honored to be part of such a talented group of groomers.

It was exciting, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. I learned so much and had an absolute blast doing what I love most.

Special thanks to my grand dog, Jasper—his favorite place is the grooming table, and he absolutely rocked it this weekend. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner!

Huge thanks to everyone who’s supported me on this journey. This is just the beginning—TopDog Grooming S’Paw is ready for more!

Competed in my very first poodle class grooming competition, there was a total of 32 poodles with 12 being in the entry level. It was an amazing experience and Jasper was the best boy and got lots of compliments. Can't wait to do it again. Thanks to my daughter-in-law Savannah Bowman for making me step out of my comfort zone!
