Hi all! I received an initial response from the Dexter Parks and Rec Commission regarding establishing a Dog Park in Dexter. They raised valid points, including: (1) there is no Parks and Recreation Staff in Dexter to manage a Dog Park, (2) there is limited open land within the City limits for a Dog Park, and (3) there has been no interest from Dexter residents up to this point in establishing a Dog Park above other potential priorities. They suggested speaking to the surrounding townships (Scio, Dexter, Webster). Does anyone have any contacts there?

Good news everyone! We achieved 241 responses to the online survey, with 88% being in favor of establishing a dog park in Dexter, and 81% saying they would use the park! The information is being compiled into a written proposal for the Parks and Rec Committee. If you would like to contribute to this proposal, please PM me with your email!
