David, almost 16, and Lydia, almost 13, after many year of helping, took over their eldest sister’s (Anna) pet care business in the summer of 2020 when she went to college. David and Lydia are home-schooled students - this provides them many hours at home to love on your pets. As home school students, they started attending a co-op for the 2022-23 school year, meaning that we are gone most of the
day on Mondays when co-op is in session (Sept-early Dec and then Feb-to early May). This business not only teaches them responsibility - but also money management as they get some to spend and most goes into their savings for the future. My husband and I were both raised on small farms with several types of animals. In their lifetime, David and Lydia have had a dog, cats, fish, a gerbil, a snake, a rabbit, hedgehogs, a bearded dragon, and a crested gecko to help care for. We do have one declawed cat. As a homeschool family, we are home most of the day, minus Mondays. I now have a part-time job near the house, so teh kids are home alone with the dogs. I do come home for lunch. We live in a very quiet, three cul-du-sac neighborhood, which provides a great one-mile loop for safely walking dogs. For the safety of the dogs, we only board one family’s dog(s) at a time, but there might be a few hours overlap during pick up/drop off days, if so we will find a way to keep them separated. On rare occasions, we do double board, but we ask before doing so. We charge $35 a day for boarding dogs, and $25 a day for the second dog from the same home. We will happily send you pictures of your pets while you are away from them. Due to school work, soccer, and my part-time job, we no longer travel to clients' homes to care for pets, sorry for the inconvenience.
