except that it’s actually something your dog can fall back on when they’re not sure what to do.

Jumping when greeting new people?
🐾 I want you to sit instead.

Surfing the counters for a snack?
🐾 Just have a seat, buddy.

Busting out the door every time it opens?
🐾 Sit and wait at this threshold until I say go.

This is always one of my favorite & most used commands, but especially for Duke - who loves to parkour off of people when he’s over excited and needs to use his brain to calm down!

Duke & his crazy eyes 😜

He’s just started week 2 of training and he’s finally turned a corner! He is SUCH an anxious dog which not only posed challenges for actual training sessions, but he even made potty breaks difficult. 🙈 He has loved making new friends through boarding and daycare & they really helped bring him out of his shell so to speak!

Now we can focus on his parkour habits 😬🤭

tiny but mighty Millie completed her Puppy Preschool program! 🐾

She had a hard time focusing long enough to learn anything new, and she desperately needed new boundaries set because she was ruling the roost! We completed just that & Millie has learned that calm behavior is the 🔑 to all good things!

I am so happy for her and the progress that she made during her 10 day stay! 💓
