Cinnamon rolls sold out asap but I’m restocking and will update here and in my story when they’re up there. I’ve got more dough proofing for sandwich bread too!

🐖 Our little piggies are going to the market July 16th!

These 5 are part of our first litter born here at Tranquil River Farm. They nursed with their mom, Pearl and were naturally weaned. We were planning for a September 1st ride in the trailer but being the first litter of this cross, our “Guesstimate” about their growth timeline was a little off. Luckily, we were able to get a sooner date at Hanna-Davis Fine Meats.

All this to inform our followers that we have availability still. We are offering whole and half options at this time. (No individual cuts)

They will be $3.75/lb hanging weight (not including processing. You will pay that to Hanna-Davis)

A little more about the hogs:
The Papa pig is our resident boar, Greg. He is 100% Mangalista and loves a good scratch. He also enjoys being sprayed with the garden hose on a warm day.

Mama pig is Pearl, she is also a permanent resident on the farm. She is half Red Wattle and half Large Black Spot breeds. She is an excellent mother! 🖤

Come see us and 6 cats available for adoption and take home a new family member TODAY!! Noon-3:00 today (Sunday June 29th)

We’d love to see them find good homes so the adoption fees are still “Donate What You Can” to help the cost of future spay and neuters.
She’ll also have three little kittens there to cuddle. They aren’t ready to go to their forever home quite yet but they are still available for adoption.

While you’re there you can feed some chickens, pet some alpacas and check out their cute little store, stocked with alpaca fiber items, unique gifts and tshirts!

We don’t typically sell eggs to the general public. We have an egg subscription for specific people. So, please do not take the clear plastic cartons out of the shed. If we ever have extras, we will put them in disposable cartons and we will post about extras being available. Thank you! 😊

I will have chicken chicks and quail chicks available the first week of June! I’m just asking for a donation to the cat rescue. We have lots of knowledge about both of you have any questions.

Straight runs, barn yard mixes. The quails are light colored mixes. The chickens are rainbow egg laying breeds.

We got the incubator cabinet warmed up and ready to go! We sorted out 288 eggs to go in tonight. I will be sharing updates every couple days. 18 days from now we’ll move them to the bottom tray. Then 21ish days from now we’ll start seeing chicks hatch. 👏🏼 Know anyone looking for chicks? Send us a message.

Yes, I am a nerd and have a smart hygrometer so I can keep an eye on the temperature and humidity all the time. 🤓 This is a great learning opportunity for kids and even adults. So follow along!

Classroom #2 had 7 chicks hatch today! So exciting! The teacher said they live streamed the incubator all day. 🥰

We are devastated that we lost our sweet Iggy Marshmallow this weekend. The homestead life is so rewarding most of the time. But sometimes it’s heartbreaking. ❤️‍🩹 He will be missed so much.
