Well, the time has come. After 40+ years of grooming, I'll be retiring next month. May 26th will be my last day at Canine Coiffures Professional Dog Grooming. I've made some amazing friends, both human and canine, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I've lost a few friends along the way, and cried for every one of them. I can't begin to describe the fun I've had in this profession! Over the years I've been pooped on, peed on, thrown up on, scratched, clawed, bitten, slobbered on, kissed, shredded, and literally attacked, but I've survived and come back for more. I've seen trends, lived thru the Rottweiler craze, the Cocker craze, and now the doodle craze. For my fellow groomers, hang in there, this too shall pass.
I've taught groomers over the years, and hopefully passed along some sc******ng skills along the way.
I know almost all the groomers here and in surrounding towns, and they all know me. All they gotta do is call me and I'll be glad to share my info on your pet so they'll know what I've been doing. 😊
I'm converting the salon into my own art studio, which you're welcome to come and visit once I get it up and running!
It's been a helluva ride, folks. And I thank each and every one of you, from the bottom of my heart. 🥰🐾
