We at the Amputee Coalition exist to walk alongside a new or seasoned or in-between amputee (Limb Loss - LL) and those with Limb Difference (LD). Our Goals are to provide resources and peers particular to the LL or LD. No one should have to go down the road alone, so we are here to partner with you!

The Amputee Coalition created the National Limb Loss Resource Center (NLLRC) to help provide answers and comprehensive information and resources, free of charge, that are most common to the LLLD community, their Families, and Hospitals and Rehabilitation Centers.

Please feel free to reach out.
Please, do not go down this road alone!
We may not know all the answers, but we are willing to try to answer them.
Our Certified Peer Visitors (CPV) are standing by and willing to assist.

The National Limb Loss Resource Center provides free access to comprehensive resources, reviewed by our scientific/medical advisory committee for accuracy.

Every year (can't remember when we started) we make food and desserts and open our place for the 1st responders in the area to swing by and grab some food on New Year's Eve and into New Years. Whether they are on shift or just want a good hot meal, we welcome them to come by our Ranch.

I posted earlier about making tamales. Would love to get a group together to make them here at our place on the afternoon of December 28th. We have plenty of pork and deer. We have also been donated a brisket and we will also make chili, stew, chips, queso, desserts (home made preferably), veggies, and drinks etc.

If anyone would like to be part of this blessing, you are welcome to come be part &/or donate to these special individuals. It is just a way to give back to those that sacrifice for our communities. And a beautiful way to bring in the new year! Come Bless & be Blessed!

Spread the word to all the 1st responders to come & get a plate of food December 31st. Gate opens at 5 till ??????. IT IS ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!

HORSEMANSHIP CAMPS

Starts June 18th!

The camp is a 3 day event (Monday thru Wednesday) 8:00am to 11:30am (or afternoon camp can be scheduled). Age minimum is 5 years old and up (there is no max age - adults are welcome). There will be a maximum of 4 students per camp. The cost is $100 for the 3 days (9 hours). We will have snacks & drinks.

Below touches on some of the topics taught.

Safety, safety, safety. - Students will learn to properly be around a horse, handle a horse (haltering & leading), learn a horse’s mood (if a horse is relaxed, scared, nervous about something, mad, etc.).

Equine Nutrition & care - what they eat, what they shouldn't eat, how much they eat, grooming, parts of the horse, etc.

Riding Equipment - All the different equipment used.

Riding - They learn to ride in a 60' round pen. I keep the horses on a lead until I feel the student understands how to control the horse. Then they will be allowed to ride around in the round pen.

Camps available for Novice and above riders The students riding and horsemanship skills will be evaluated.

INDIVIDUAL RIDING LESSONS: I work with the student on a one-on-one and expand on their individual needs & experience. I can also work with the student & their horse. $20/hour
