At stike at the very end of the night of my first wedding of the season I was running loads of centerpieces back to my vehicle just as the Bruno Mars concert was letting out next door- all of us using the same parking structure🤪
I was parked right at the stairs/elevator where bunches of (mostly) women were waiting for the elevator..
now the thing about weddings- we florists work alllll week for just a few short hours of showing off, we usually take perfect blooms home to the compost pile😔 (or to rot in said vehicle for days )
ANYWAYS there was this incredible energy amongst the women there- all going crazy over a car load of a thousand perfectly curated fresh flowers and so I said, 'yall can take some flowers'😉
They were so excited and carefully started digging in but one woman looks me dead in the eye and asks, are you sure YOU wont get in trouble?🥹 (love a girls girl)
I thought for a second (as a girl who was indeed VERY used to getting in trouble) I very confidently responded, "NOPE! THIS IS ALL MINE"
I grew the flowers (or have incredible relationships with the women who did) I designed it alllll days before and on-site that day, lugged all these crates in and out of my vehicle, up and down these stairs (OK the husband does come in clutch for this step) stayed to move actual art pieces in water from ceremony to reception and now yall drunk on Bruno and life can take them home at 1am, throw them in a glass of water and enjoy the *MAGIC* for at least a WHOLE WEEK and bc it was Detroit (best city ever) they all got so into it and asked about my business then started chanting "Brightmoor Flower Farm" with their hands full of flowers as they were ascending to their cars☺️
MORE OF THIS, PLEASE👏 Bruno and blooms and building community one parking structure at a time✨️
